We can no longer put him in one spot and know that he will be there when we come back. He has started grabbing toys and scoots towards the things that he gets his eyes on (like the cats). His two bottom front teeth are coming in and that has not been a fun process. There have been quite a few sleepless nights for both of us (Bill really doesn't seem so bothered:).
We have also started baby food! I love seeing his reaction when he tries new things:). He loves all the fruits (what babies don't?), hates peas and green beans (what baby doesn't:), and loves squash and carrots. Those are the ones we've tried so far, but every day is such a new learning experience for both of us.
We found out that he loves ice cream! Him and momma like to get a cone to share:).
We've also taken our first ride on the boat for the season and Caleb's first trip ever. I'm not sure he was such a huge fan of the life jacket or the cold water we stuck him in, but it wasn't too bad overall.
Kiersten just spent 2 and a half weeks with us as well. She loves her little brother so much and she is such a huge help! I love having her around, she is such a fun spirited and lovable little girl. There was more than one occasion when I said to her "you talk soooo much" and she just says "I know" and keeps on a going:). But its so quiet when she's not here that the constant chattering starts to grow on you.
It's hard to say what is going on in her life per say, our days together were spent playing at the beach or in the kiddie pool that we bought. She got to hang out with a couple of her friends over here and spent time picking berries with grandma. We have also decided to become "extreme couponers" so she has been helping me to cut coupons amd find the best deals:)
I can't believe how much she has grown up in the 6 years that I've known her. I love how she comes up to her dad and I and gives us random hugs and "I love you's" and tells me that I am "the bestest step mom in the whole world of step moms:)"
I have been busy working and trying not to work as much as possible:). It's so hard to stay at work when you have such adorable kids at home. We have been super low census at the hospital lately, so every time they ask if I want to go home early, it gets harder and harder to say no:)
Bill has taken a new position at work so he is making up for all of the time that I am taking off. Only problem is that he doesn't get paid any extra for all his hours he has been putting in.
That about catches up our lives for the moment. I try to stay on top of these things, but before I know it, it's been a month and a half and I haven't said a word. I'd like to say it will change, but we'll see how that goes;)
