Santa Clause is Commin' to Town!!

My little man is walking!!  He has been since the middle of November...I'm not sure if I'm ready for this...but I don't think I have a choice:).

There have been plenty of bumps and bruises, but he really seems to be getting the hang of it!

And now that he can walk, he can also climb...into the dishwasher, cupboards, and laundry baskets.

Now were up to 8 teeth. This boy just doesn't stop:)

Happy Thanksgiving!!!  We had a great time with the three if us hanging out for turkey...just missed Kiersten. But it was so much fun, then Caleb and I decided to go do some shopping:)

He had his second bout of flu in the last month (which he generously shared with mom) and he even had hand, foot and mouth:(. It's been a somewhat rough winter.

Got him all bundled up to go outside for a few minutes...never made it past the garage and it takes longer to get everything on than we actually spent out there.

We went to see Santa for the first time...I absolutely LOVE this picture where he just doesn't seem too sure. His eyes say it all...

But he did very well for his first visit...no crying at all.

We had our first Christmas party of the season...per the norm he was more interested in the paper and boxes than the presents.

So much fun. The kiddos had a blast and it was so good to see everyone!  And it was so fun getting to see Kiersten and Caleb having fun:).

As for Bill and I, just staying busy with the kiddos:). They grow so fast and it's bittersweet...I guess I have to cherish these moments of constantly getting Caleb out of things cuz before too long he'll be off to school and I'll miss these moments. I love my cute little family!!

Every single day is a new adventure!!!

So the other day I said to my friend "I don't know what to write about...nothings really happened." What am I talking about?!?! I have a very active 9 month old little boy!!!

He is now crawling like it's his job, pulling up on everything he can get his hands on, and even standing a few seconds without holding onto anything.

He loves to get into everything he can get his hands on, and loves to help mom clean out the cupboards and the dishwasher. The kitchen is like this kids own personal jungle gym:)

We are moving on to more finger foods which has been lots of fun. He seems to like a lot more stuff now that he can feed himself. And the cats like the fact that he's moved on to finger food too since he drops half his food and they get a snack:)

But my favorite is seeing him and Kiersten together. They get along so well (I know it's cuz he's still at the cute age and she still thinks he can do no wrong, but we'll go with it:)

And we got to go trick or treating for his first Halloween!  I (I mean he:) didn't get any candy though...I think they knew mom would be the one eating it, not him. We had a couple costumes picked out, I had grabbed him a cow one last year after Halloween and one of his uncles picked out a little devil one for him. I figured I'd just see how he was acting that day and pick the costume accordingly:). Turns out he was being pretty good, but of course mom had to play dress up.

We got to trick or treating with some of the cousins.

And we got to go see great grandpa Fillmore.

He makes me smile every day whether he's just sleeping, sitting there, smiling at me, or laughing at my laugh:).

I didn't get any good pics of Kiersten this time, unfortunately we just don't get to see her enough. She is still busy with school, I guess her dance place closed so she's taking a break from that at the moment.

Bill is still busy with work and playing with his little cars (he's pretty boring:) and I'm busy with work and this little man.

Oh what a busy month it's been!

So now Caleb is rolling back to front...
Sitting up...
Crawling...
And pulling up on everything!!!
And this is a new way for him to sleep...

We took our first trip to the park, don't know how sure he was about it at first...

But once he saw his cousins having fun...

He thought maybe it wasn't too bad...

Until we put him on the slide...

He now has 4 teeth, 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top.
(Not that he'll actually open his mouth and get a pic at the same time).

And he chatters away...mostly dadadada for now (although we're working on mamamama:). He has a happy yell and an upset yell (I'm learning the difference) and sings a little song to let me know he's getting tired. It's amazing what we can learn about our kids in such a short time.

He is starting to get a personality and become his own little person. Every day is a new learning experience and so much fun!

And Kiersten and Caleb are really bonding and do so good together.
I have to say that I have a couple of adorable kids:)

Kiersten is back to school now, and she seems to be liking it. Can't believe she's in the 6th grade already.

We went to a mom 2 mom sale, so of course I came out with a ton of kids clothes and she came out with this...

I can't believe the summers over already and we took our last trip on the boat...

Kiersten decided to try and sit patiently and wait for a hummingbird to show up the last time we went up north. Even though every time one got close she'd flinch cuz she thought it was gonna get her:)

This has been a great summer and I'm sad to see it almost over. It was so fun to have so many firsts with Caleb and to see Kiersten and Caleb hang out together and get along so well. The other day I went in her room to check on them and they were playing cars together...just made my heart melt. Caleb couldn't ask for a better big sis!!!

Bill and I are still pretty boring...work, work, work:(.  Caleb keeps me busy on my days off since he is go, go, go  (I cherish nap time:) but I wouldn't have it any other way!
